  • Following meter installation, monitoring and verification typically takes around three months. Once verified, environmental assets may be commercialised within a few days or up to three months, depending on market demand.

  • Verified environmental assets are aggregated into portfolios and marketed to organisations seeking high-quality, independently verified carbon reductions.

  • The value depends on several factors, including the size of the project, the amount of verified carbon saved, project type, ownership structure and current market demand. Vertex Carbon provides an estimate during the assessment process.

  • Most projects require a dedicated monitoring device to accurately measure performance. Vertex Carbon coordinates the installation and commissioning of the monitoring equipment.

  • Yes. Many existing renewable energy installations may be eligible, particularly those commissioned after the applicable eligibility date and capable of being monitored.

  • Revenue is paid to the carbon rights holder in accordance with the agreed commercial arrangement between all parties.
